Join esteemed wildlife photographer Keith at the Dungeness River Nature Center for an immersive, full-day workshop designed for photographers of all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers a comprehensive and hands-on approach to wildlife photography.

Keith brings years of experience teaching one-on-one wildlife photography and editing instruction. This workshop expands on those lessons, offering a dynamic group learning experience.

 

What to Know Before Attending:

To maximize your time, please familiarize yourself with these camera functions beforehand (you don’t need to master them, just know how to find and adjust them):

  • Shutter speed
  • Aperture (F-stop)
  • ISO
  • Focus point selector
  • Shutter mode (single vs. high-speed continuous)

What to bring:

  1. Lunch, snacks, and beverages for this all day workshop.
  2. Your longest lens, and one mid range lens that is smaller and lighter in your bag if your arm wears out.
  3. A tripod or monopod, if you have one. (Don’t forget the mounting plate.)
  4. Spare batteries.
  5. Empty camera card

 

    Keith Ross has become one of the best-known photographers on the Olympic Peninsula and beyond, focusing mainly on wildlife, but also event, portrait, and landscape photography, which has spawned a business known as Keith’s Frame of Mind. He has built up a high-quality printing and framing business, from smaller formats, and up to 8 foot and larger framed prints. He also documented the famous eaglet rescue in Sequim, and wrote and self-published The Rescue of Eddie & Elliott – A Bald Eaglet Adventure, which recently won 1st Place in The Next Generation Indie Book Awards, one of the biggest international contests in the world.
